Blankets of Warmth
Owner/CEO Jan Lehmann of Changing Seasons HomeCare in Sherman and her staff know the true meaning of giving! Thanks to each of you who cared enough to donate blankets and socks to help us make someone's Christmas a happier one.
Imelda Ride, Social Worker for Sherman Healthcare center, stated: "The look on the faces of those who received the blankets was wonderful. We gave the blankets to those who didn't have receive a Christmas gift. They put the blanket to use right away!"
Each year, Changing Seasons HomeCare chooses a new facility to help out during the holiday season. This is their third year collecting and delivering blankets and socks to local long-term care facilities. All blankets and socks are donated, with some bought and some handmade. Jan said, "Even in our difficult times, our community dug deeper into their pockets and gave from their hearts."
Even the smallest act of kindness says, "I care, you matter, and I thought of you."
